This is a wood frog, which lives in almost all American forests. Adults mainly eat spiders, beetles, slugs, and snails. The tadpoles eat algae.  Wood frogs usually hide under logs. The adult frogs use their coloration to blend in with fallen trees. Be careful where you tread in a forest, because there might be a wood frog under you!
